Commercial One Stop Property Shop

07-Mar-2013

WCQ – KF Press Release 4-3-13

Glen Winney, owner of Knight Frank Fraser Coast and Win Constructions Queensland believes 2013 will be the year of recovery for the Fraser Coast. After 4 long years of   downward construction and property markets there are signs of a turnaround and indications the private sector is coming back into the market. Glen said, “We have decided to restructure parts of our businesses and prepare for a different market over the next 12 months. Our aim is to attain a long held goal of becoming the best ‘commercial one stop property shop’ in the region. So we are taking some big steps to get ready to capture the coming property changes but to also weather the continued pressure on operating costs.” We are taking a number of immediate changes to achieve this.

“Firstly, we are investing by fully renovating a site at 2 Main St (on the corner of the Esplanade) and creating our one stop shop to bring both businesses under one roof and one goal.  Secondly, we are restructuring our management, and I will be taking over as Managing Director of both businesses and have an active role in steering the businesses in the new direction. The construction industry has been very tough over several years and it’s been a matter of hard tendering jobs at low margins and travelling long distances for work. This is not sustainable for long periods, therefore we have decided to contract back to the Wide Bay for work and be more selective with work and offer a broader range of services and complete packages for our clients. Our focus will be on service, quality and knowledge.”

Knight Frank has had a very successful past 12 months with exceptional growth in the commercial market place. It has been awarded Knight Frank Franchisee of the year 2012 and recently was a state finalist in REIQ Commercial Agency of the Year. As well as the industry recognition, Knight Frank has become a leading regional player in the commercial property market and sees the private sector market coming back  if the last 45 days is any indication, as the office has settled over $13 million in sales around the area and has good work in the pipeline.

“We are excited to envisage both our offices moving to new premises sometime this year creating  a complete one stop shop under a single roof and offering services such as commercial construction, project management, sales, leasing, property management, property consulting and development work.”
